Joshua Snyder has close to twenty years of criminal law experience, both in criminal defense and prosecution. Immediately after beginning his career following his graduation from William & Mary School of Law, America’s first law school and among the top U.S. law schools, he began his career as a public defender in Virginia.
Within two years his skills and expertise were recognized, and he was hired by the prosecutor’s office in the same jurisdiction. In 2013, Josh and his family moved to the Pittsburgh area to be closer to family and he began working at the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office. While an assistant district attorney, Josh prosecuted violent crimes, drug offenses, traffic offenses, and juvenile offenses, gaining invaluable experience in these areas. After transitioning to private practice, Josh gained further experience defending juveniles in all manners of offenses. Josh has substantial jury and bench trial experience, having litigated hundreds of cases to their conclusion.
Facing criminal charges can be one of the most stressful thing people can ever face, but Josh is well suited to explain the process with clarity, compassion, and clear communication. This experience enables Attorney Snyder to negotiate strong case outcomes and win decisively in court when clients need it most.
